R.I.P. Kindle

If you've been reading my blog lately, you would've noticed that I haven't been writing as many reviews as I used to. The reason? My Kindle decided to die! Well not technically die, the screen just got all messed up. D: My very first ereader has been my faithful book companion for a whole year and eight months, R.I.P. You will be dearly missed!

Kindle Bad Screen
My Messed Up Kindle. D:
Gahh, I was sooo depressed after it died. Who can live without books!? But after a lot of begging and pleading on my part, I ended up getting a new Kindle as a early Christmas present! Hallelujah! I was torn between ordering the Kindle Paperwhite and the regular Kindle Keyboard, but after reading all of these negative reviews on the Paperwhite screen, I decided to stick with what I know and ended up buying the Kindle Keyboard again. Do any of you guys have the Paperwhite Kindle? Are you guys happy with it? Do you own a Nook instead of a Kindle? Which one do you think is better? Feel free to tell me your feedback below! :D

Was so excited when I saw this in the maill!!!!
My reaction.....
My Kindles side by side. :D

  1. I really want to get a kindle with eInk (Is that what those screens are called?)! I have an android tablet at the moment and the LCD screen hurts my eyes :( I'm just not sure what kindle I should go for :/

    1. I can't explain to you in coherent words how awesome the Kindle is! And yes I believe that it's called a E ink screen. :P There are a huge variety of books you can buy that the Nook or regular tablets don't have. And to top it all off, there's no glare on the screen, so your eyes don't have to strain when reading. I've only had the Kindle Keyboard so I really can't offer good advice on which one to pick though. =/ Some people prefer touch screen and others prefer buttons. Depends on your taste, I guess.

  2. I'd also love to see what people think about the paperwhite, because I was considering getting one. I currently have the Kindle Touch and I love it. :)

Kindle is definitely the way to go though. Nook just doesn't have the same endless selection of books that Kindles have. And the Amazon deals = awesome.

    1. Yeah I've been reading tons of reviews on Amazon but it seems like it's just based on luck on whether you get a good or bad screen. That's why I've been so hesitant to get it. =/ Glad your enjoying your Kindle Touch! :D

  3. Oh Kindle Keyboard <3

I've had mine a year next week and I can't believe I lived without it. I read so much more now and never leave home without it.

I'm glad you managed to get yourself a new one :)

I love hearing from you guys and read every single comment posted! :D If you follow me or post a comment on my blog, I always try my best to return the favor. :) This is now an award free blog. I'm truly honored that you thought of me, but unfortunately I don't have enough time to nominate others. Happy reading, and I hope you enjoy my blog!
