Amazon Review:

When seventeen-year-old Katy Swartz moved to West Virginia right before her senior year, she’d pretty much resigned herself to thick accents, dodgy Internet access, and a whole lot of boring, but then she spotted her hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up…until he opened his mouth. Daemon Black is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. It’s hate at first sight, but when a stranger attacks her and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens. The hot guy next door? Well, he’s an alien. Turns out that Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities and Katy is caught in the crosshairs. Daemon’s touch has lit her up like the Vegas Strip and the only way she’s getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until her alien mojo fades. That is if she doesn’t kill him first.

My Review:

After I read the Covenant series by this author I didn't think it was possible to write a better book. Oh holy alien babies everywhere, was I wrong! To be honest I've never been a huge fan of alien/zombie/ghost stories, because they usually just completely creep me out, but I thought since I absolutely loveeeeedddd Jennifer's other books, I would give this one a shot. I was so happy that I did! The one thing that I loved best about this book was that Katy was completely down to earth. She was obsessed with books and even had her own book blog which helped me relate with the character. When she met Daemon the hot next door neighbor, of course she couldn't help but notice how gorgeous he was, but it wasn't love at first sight (Thank God! There are already to many stories like that). At first, Daemon is a complete jerk to her and loves to get under her skin but throughout the book you can see that he really does care about her and that he was only pushing her away because he wanted to protect his twin sister Dee. Overall, this was a action packed book, had an amazing down to earth protagonist and such a hot and steamy romance that I had to cool down at several places in the book.

Heroine- 5/5
Romance- 5/5
Action- 5/5
Comedy- 5/5
Overall- 5/5!
