Amazon Summary:

Meghan Chase has a secret destiny--one she could never have imagined...

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school...or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth-- that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face...and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

My Review:

I was a little hesitant to pick this book up at first, because I'm more of a werewolf/vampire fan, but since I had nothing to do and heard nothing but great reviews, I thought what the heck I'll give it a try. As soon as I read the prologue I was sucked in! The Iron King held just the right amount of action, romance, and humor. The main character wasn't exactly confidant in the beginning, she was shy and like every other girl, had a huge crush on the most popular kid in school. However, throughout the novel she grew as a character. She became brave and was willing to do anything, even risk her life in order to save her little brother. The romance in this book was basically a love triangle between the protagonist Meghan, the winter prince Ash, and the mischievous and well known Puck. Puck! Omg! He was absolutely hilarious and had me laughing on the floor from all his comments and crazy antics!  I would recommend The Iron King to anyone who loves adventure, magic, and a whole lot of action!

Heroine- 4/5
Romance- 5/5
Comedy- 5/5
Action- 5/5
Overall- 5/5
